Year 2/3rocks

Hello and welcome back to the second half of the term!

Here are a couple of reminders about the next couple of weeks.

1. Monday is a Buddha day holiday

2. Our year three students will complete some online tests next week in maths and English. We wish them good luck.

3. We will have a Halloween celebration on the 29th of October the children can come dressed in their house coloured costumes.

4. Congratulations to our class tennis champion.

5. We will be having a Loy Kratong celebration soon.

6. There will be a Science day at the beginning of November.

Maths

All this week the learners have been investigating how the operation of division works. At present we are calling it sharing of counters but will switch to use the term division next week.

English

Our learning in English this week has focused on reading comprehension and making our writing more interesting by using adjectives and adverbs. Please have your child read each night to you and have them try to learn their spelling word list for the week.

UOI and Science

Rocks, rocks and no rolls!!!

We have started to discover what our earth is made from. We learned there are three kinds of rocks in our world. maybe your child can remember one of the rocks names. They are igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. Tricky words to remember.

We have also been continuing to further our knowledge about the nations that are near Thailand and other countries that are further afield. We are trying to discover various physical features that are found in these different countries.

Library
Just a gentle reminder that Tuesday is our library day and if your child wants to change their library books they need to bring their folder and books in on that day.
