Welcome to term 3

Congratulations
Each of our students were recognized for their hard work and efforts last term. They were awarded certificates at our Primary years assembly on Thursday. Congratulations to all of our learners.

We welcome one new student to our class and say welcome back to one other.

UOI Habitats and Humans
Our main idea for this term, in our Unit Of Inquiry (UOI),  is that "When interacting with natural habitats, humans make choices that have an impact on other living things"

We investigated the many different habitats around the globe and chose one to draw and display on our learning wall. Next we will be investigating how humans can change those habitats. Further into the term we will try to make homes for birds and bird feeders.

Library
Just a friendly reminder this week. Please make sure that the children's library folders are in their bags each Tuesday.
Thankyou

Mammal Skeletons
Mammals live in our environment. We were finding out about mammals and their skeletons. We looked at the names of some of our bones and the number of bones in our body.
We learned about the smallest and largest bones in our body.
Once we found a mammal we liked, we drew that skeleton.

Maths
During our maths lessons this week we revised our three and five times tables. We also found out ways that we can solve missing number problems. Next week we will be revising the "greater than" and "less than" signs and using them to order and compare numbers.

 Birthday Wishes
Happy birthday to you

English Comprehension
The learners work hard to understand the stories that they read. Then they will write down answers to the questions, about the story.

Assembly
Here we are receiving our certificates for doing a great job during term 2.
