Week 6

Painting the Bird House

Our unit of inquiry is coming to an end. We have designed, created and finally finished decorating our bird houses and bird feeders. Next week we will hang them up around the school and hope we improve the birds environment around the school.










Maths Dividing 
This week we focused on how division and multiplication are related. 
If we know our times tables, then knowing answers to division sums will be easy.
Next week we will continue working on division problems and start to investigate compass directions and angled turns.








2, 5 and 10 timetables
We had a chance to revise our knowledge of some of the times tables we have learned this year.









 

 Dioramas 
We have stated to create a diorama that will show how man and the environment interact. Next week we will start to fill the inside of the box with our different ideas of what these environments look like.

Reading Comprehension
Some of our children were challenged this week to infer what was happening in a story. This was a little bit challenging and we will have another go next week. 
The others were doing well, reading their story and being able to answer the questions about the text.





Congratulations
Well done to Okin, who has worked hard over the year and has managed to transition from being in the "English as a Second Language" to becoming a member of the main English class. 



Writing Email
This week our class were learning how to write and respond to email. Next week we will try to send some to our parents. So be looking out for a mail from your children next week!!!

UDIS ขอเรียนเชิญท่านเข้าร่วมงานเส้นทางการเรียนรู้ผ่านมุมมองผู้เรียน 'Journey through the Eyes of the Child' ในวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 2 มิถุนายน เวลา 8.00 - 12.00 น. ที่โรงเรียนเพื่อเฉลิมฉลองความสำเร็จของนักเรียนในช่วงสิ้นปีการศึกษานี้

 

Family members who will be participating in the event will submit negative ATK results on Wednesday 1st June. Please send it to your child’s teaching assistant.

For safety reasons, please wear your parent ID cards at all times while you are on campus. UDIS will provide visitor cards to other members of your family.

Welcome To Week Four Hello to you all. We are now back on track and everyone is enjoying being with their friends and learning with them,  back at school.  Congratulations These people have all been busy using our "Study Ladder" app.  At various points along their learning journey, in "Study Ladder," the children are awarded certificates to highlight their progress.  Well done to you all!!! FEBRUARY We came outside to observe our calendar and discuss the unusualness of the month of February. We noted the spelling of the word and I pointed out the silent "r" that many adults forget about! We then had a guess at how many days there were in February and the discussed the reason that there are 29 days every four years in this month.  The learners thought that it was very strange that we could just add another day on to a month. Improving Our Reading Skills

Welcome to week 12's blog This week we were busy preparing for our assembly and we hope that you enjoyed the children's thoughts on how they have overcome an adversity in their life. The videos were sent out via the line group this week. Maths This week we have been discovering what fractions are, and how we can write them as numbers. We have learned about halves, quarters and thirds. We learned about the words "denominator" and "numerator" fractions are also useful when we are talking bout telling the time and that is what we will be investigating next week. Library miss Marie really enjoys when we visit the library. We love going there to hear her stories and choosing new books to take home. there is always an interesting activity to complete. English We are trying to expand our writing skills by including adjectives and adverbs in our sentences. Yahoo... we are back at school!

Congratulations Well done to the students who have worked on "Study Ladder" during our qurentine period. these activities are extra learning fun to emphasie the learning that we do in class. This week we were learning about right angles and the different ways that we can reposition shapes. Next week we will be focusing on learning our three time table and properties of three dimensional shapes, as we hope to add the knowledge of angles we learnt this week. English Writing  Our writing has two focuses at the moment. We are trying to improve our grammar and editing skills as well as write interesting stories. This week we started a story online and completed it at school. We asked the children to write about their feelings about learning online. They were able to say why they liked or disliked this situation. Next week we will continue to focus our attention on increasing the amount of words that we write in a story and try to edit the story as best as we can.   Maths ...
