Handwriting

The learners have worked well at changing from printing their words to trying to write in cusive writing. 








Reading and Grammar 
This week we were reading examples of people's conversations and then trying to punctuate those sentences using speech marks. The children did this very well. Next week we will try to think about how to use an apostrophe to show ownership of nouns.







Needs and Wants
Again this week we were focusing on the children's ideas of needs and wants. We shared our ideas, got into groups and made posters that explained what are the things that are essential for us to survive and what are the items in our lives that we can call luxury items.





Library Closure
Thank you to those of you who have returned your library books this week. If you are yet to return your child's books, please ensure these are returned by Monday 13th June. If you have any questions about this, please contact myself or Miss Am

Dear Year 2 parents

เรียน ท่านผู้ปกครอง เยียร์ 2



In 2022/2023 we continue our implementation of a 1 device to 1 learner (1:1) programme for all learners from Year 3 and upwards. We have already seen excellent benefits from our learners having access to a dedicated device (most laptops or tablets should meet this requirement) across the school day. We would like all learners to have a device ready to use at school from the first day of school onwards where possible. 


If you would like more information about the 1:1 programme policy, please consult our 1:1 programme policy. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have.

Welcome To Week Four Hello to you all. We are now back on track and everyone is enjoying being with their friends and learning with them,  back at school.  Congratulations These people have all been busy using our "Study Ladder" app.  At various points along their learning journey, in "Study Ladder," the children are awarded certificates to highlight their progress.  Well done to you all!!! FEBRUARY We came outside to observe our calendar and discuss the unusualness of the month of February. We noted the spelling of the word and I pointed out the silent "r" that many adults forget about! We then had a guess at how many days there were in February and the discussed the reason that there are 29 days every four years in this month.  The learners thought that it was very strange that we could just add another day on to a month. Improving Our Reading Skills

Welcome to week 12's blog This week we were busy preparing for our assembly and we hope that you enjoyed the children's thoughts on how they have overcome an adversity in their life. The videos were sent out via the line group this week. Maths This week we have been discovering what fractions are, and how we can write them as numbers. We have learned about halves, quarters and thirds. We learned about the words "denominator" and "numerator" fractions are also useful when we are talking bout telling the time and that is what we will be investigating next week. Library miss Marie really enjoys when we visit the library. We love going there to hear her stories and choosing new books to take home. there is always an interesting activity to complete. English We are trying to expand our writing skills by including adjectives and adverbs in our sentences. Yahoo... we are back at school!

Congratulations Well done to the students who have worked on "Study Ladder" during our qurentine period. these activities are extra learning fun to emphasie the learning that we do in class. This week we were learning about right angles and the different ways that we can reposition shapes. Next week we will be focusing on learning our three time table and properties of three dimensional shapes, as we hope to add the knowledge of angles we learnt this week. English Writing  Our writing has two focuses at the moment. We are trying to improve our grammar and editing skills as well as write interesting stories. This week we started a story online and completed it at school. We asked the children to write about their feelings about learning online. They were able to say why they liked or disliked this situation. Next week we will continue to focus our attention on increasing the amount of words that we write in a story and try to edit the story as best as we can.   Maths ...
